At two years old my son received a prophetic word that he would be a prophet for the nations, a prayer and to be patient with him, that he’s not a bad kid.
On numerous occasions, Caleb has prayed over headaches and people have received instant healing as well as mention someone and pray for them and they receive healing from a distance. I know that God can work through anyone, but I didn’t realize how much God could or would even work through my own seed.
More recently at 6 years old Caleb told me he’s seen angels in my room. I’m not going to lie, that scared me to the core. We all want angelic encounters, but do we really want angelic encounters?! A few weeks after he had a dream that his aunt and her friend had an argument. He told his grandmother and her first instinct was to pray into the dream. Caleb’s aunt and her friend ended up spending time together that day, and behold an argument arose and the friend ended up leaving. Eventually, we made them aware of the dream and they made up, but who would have thought that this would actually happen?!
This past Sunday, the service was about prayer. The guest speaker elaborated on how it’s important to pray and fight now so our children won't have to. The prayers we pray now are in the earth and will help our children not have to fight as hard. She also went in-depth about an encounter she had as a child and she saw the prayers people had to go to heaven and they were answered immediately. The reason why we don’t see immediate results is because time in heaven isn’t like time on earth. After the sermon, the pastor welcomed those who wanted to go to the next level in their prayer life to come up to the alter and receive impartation; of course, I went up. Sometimes when you get prayer you receive what is said and keep it in your memory bank. Sometimes God strikes your heart in a way that you can’t do anything but let out a sound that you can’t even describe; this was one of those times. Through one of the associate pastors, God said that my prayers actually work, that I can recall times where I prayed and saw results. Through her, He said that I have POWER in my prayer and that I’m an intercessor and prayer is the way that I fight; that God will literally be shaking things up in my room and in my life. Then He went to say that the same authority of prayer that I have, my son has as well. Confirming every single word Caleb has ever received, he is a prophet, he will dream, he will see miracles, signs, and wonders; don’t be surprised if you see him talking to the air, or if he says off the wall things…Caleb is a catalyst, a vessel for the Lord. The same oil that runs from my head, flows down to my seed.
As a Christian, you quickly find out that every time a word is spoken, the enemy tries to take it. Shortly after receiving that word, Caleb was getting more than usual negative notes home from school. A piece of me wants to get frustrated, but I have to remember the original word he received-be patient with him, he’s not a bad kid- so immediately I had to declare the word over his life. I have to remember that either I will declare God’s word or I’m going to counteract it. And I refuse to undo what God is doing in his life!
